The action includes the repair, replacement, and removal of deteriorated elements to guarantee safer and more adequate public spaces for citizens. The objective is to ensure that the facilities are safe for all residents.
The mayor of Tegueste, Norberto Padilla, highlighted the importance of maintaining these spaces, calling it a priority for the City Council. He noted that these actions contribute to the continuous improvement of public spaces and, fundamentally, to the safety of their users.
For his part, the councilor for Municipal Services, Javier Galván, explained that an exhaustive review has been carried out to identify elements that are deteriorated or require replacement. The work has focused on games, pavements, fencing, and signage, thereby improving the conditions of use and conservation.
The interventions included the repair and replacement of parts in children's games, such as springs and seats, as well as the removal of those in poor condition. Rubber flooring was also replaced, sandpits were conditioned, fencing was improved, and identification plates for games and parks were renewed. Similar work was carried out in the biosaludable and Street Workout areas.
The purpose of these works is to ensure the proper functioning and improve the safety of the facilities, complying with the applicable specific regulations, such as standards UNE-EN 1176 and UNE-EN 1177.
The City Council reminds the public of the importance of maintaining these spaces in good condition and reaffirms its commitment to continue working on their conservation and improvement for the enjoyment of citizens with the highest safety guarantees.
