More than sixty vessels will accompany the Virgen del Carmen this Thursday, July 16, in her maritime procession through the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, one of the island's most traditional celebrations.

The events will begin at 6:00 PM with the celebration of Holy Mass at the Main Parish of Our Lady of La Concepción. Afterwards, the land procession will commence, accompanied by the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Municipal Band, insular and local authorities, and escorted by the Local Police to the port area.
Upon arrival at the port, the image will be received by a representation of the Port Police and boarded onto the tugboat VB Canarias to begin the maritime procession, scheduled for 8:00 PM. During the journey through the Tenerife bay, a wreath of flowers will be cast in memory of those who have died in maritime and port activities.
The Unión Artística El Cabo will receive the procession at the embarkation point and perform several pieces. The Correíllo La Palma will also join the celebration, which will feature the participation of singer Chago Melián.
Once the maritime procession concludes, around 10:00 PM, the Virgin will return to the Main Parish of Our Lady of La Concepción, following a fireworks display in her honor.
