The Canary archipelago will experience a significant temperature increase this Saturday, with highs potentially reaching 32 degrees Celsius in the interior and midlands facing south and west of Gran Canaria. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts that after initial hours with cloudy intervals on the coast, cloudiness will tend to dissipate, leaving mostly clear or clear skies across most of the islands.
At sea, winds from the north or northeast are expected, force 3 to 4, with slight to moderate sea conditions and a northerly swell of one to two meters.
In Lanzarote, cloudy intervals are expected on the coast, tending towards mostly clear or clear skies from midday. Temperatures will reach 30 degrees in inland and southeastern areas. In Fuerteventura, cloudy intervals will predominate on the coast, with clear spells opening up from midday and highs of up to 30 degrees in inland and eastern areas. In Jandía, the wind will blow moderately with some strong intervals in the afternoon.
Gran Canaria will see cloudy skies on the coast during the early morning, clearing up as the morning progresses. Temperatures will rise slightly, especially the maximums in the interior, potentially reaching 30 to 32 degrees in midlands and peaks. In Tenerife, morning cloudiness will give way to clear skies, with a slight thermal increase, particularly in inland areas, reaching maximums of up to 31 degrees in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
For La Gomera, cloudy intervals are forecast at dawn, clearing during the morning. Maximum temperatures will rise slightly, reaching 29 degrees in San Sebastián de La Gomera. In La Palma, morning cloudiness will tend to dissipate, with maximums rising slightly to 28 degrees in Santa Cruz de La Palma. Finally, in El Hierro, after initial cloudiness, clear skies are expected with highs of up to 26 degrees in Valverde.
