The police operation followed the detection of several drug sales to tourists in this well-known area of southern Tenerife. According to the police, the sellers used a recurring method to avoid carrying the substances on them during the transactions.
The procedure involved receiving money from buyers and then heading to planters located on the public street, where they hid the packages. After verifying several of these exchanges, officers inspected the planters, finding 36 doses of marijuana and three of cocaine prepared for distribution.
Following the seizure of the substances, the two individuals were arrested and placed at the disposal of the judicial authority to continue with the corresponding legal proceedings.
