The initiative, promoted by the Government of the Canary Islands, has achieved a significant response during its first week of operation. To date, 2,751 vouchers have been validated for a total value of 449,770 euros, while another 1,736 applications are currently being processed, representing an additional 436,980 euros.
The program has a total budget of 1.6 million euros, distributed equally between both provinces and spread across all islands. For the upcoming batch, starting October 1st, the remaining funds will be allocated to continue incentivizing the modernization of household appliances.
The retail sector has shown active support for this measure, with 213 establishments already participating across the archipelago. During this initial phase, nearly 1,000 purchase transactions have been completed using the vouchers, reflecting a positive impact on both local sales and household energy efficiency.
The management of these subsidies is carried out in collaboration with Femete and Femepa, organizations working to facilitate access to the aid and ensure the proper implementation of the program throughout the Canary Islands.
