The Canary Islands are preparing for a meteorological transition Monday, with a slight increase in maximum temperatures in inland areas and persistent strong winds, as well as significant sea swell.

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a forecast indicating a change in weather conditions for this Monday, following a storm. Northeast winds are expected with gusts that could be very strong on several islands, affecting both inland and coastal areas.
At sea, the situation will be complex, with strong swell and ground seas reaching between 3 and 4 meters in height from the afternoon. Winds at sea will blow strongly, predominantly from the northeast, and rough sea conditions are expected offshore in some areas.
By island, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will experience cloudy skies in the early morning that will tend to clear, with strong northeast winds and thermal increases inland. In Gran Canaria, the north will have cloudy skies with a low probability of weak rainfall, while maximum temperatures will rise in mid-altitudes and inland areas. Tenerife and La Palma will also see cloudy skies in the north and east, with the possibility of weak rainfall and strong winds in summits and slopes.
Finally, La Gomera and El Hierro will present cloudy skies in the north with a probability of occasional weak rainfall, especially in the early morning. Both islands will experience a slight increase in maximum temperatures and moderate to strong northeast winds, with very intense gusts in summits and extremes.
