On the occasion of Canary Islands Day, celebrated this May 30th, regional president Fernando Clavijo highlighted the "deep roots" that characterize the archipelago's identity. In a post shared on the social network 'X', Clavijo stated that "who we are identifies us, our traditions unite us, and our talent projects us beyond our borders."
The Canary Islands leader also emphasized the islands' valuable natural heritage, stressing that they are home to "people with deep roots" thanks to the legacy of previous generations.
“"The Canary Islands are the Canary Islands thanks to the spirit and effort of those who preceded us and of all those who care for and enrich this land."
Clavijo concluded his message by acknowledging the contribution of those who have cared for and enriched the Canary Islands over time, attributing the essence of the islands to their collective spirit and effort.
