The Canary Islands face a day marked by a significant rise in temperatures this Sunday, with readings reaching 37 degrees and the persistence of light haze in the atmosphere.

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a forecast for a heat episode affecting much of the territory. The rise in temperatures will be particularly noticeable in inland areas and mid-altitudes, while northern regions will see cloudy intervals during the early and late hours of the day.
In La Palma, the forecast indicates mostly clear skies, with low clouds in northern areas below 500 to 600 meters. Temperatures will remain stable on the coast, although they will experience a light to moderate rise in inland areas. The wind will blow from the north, moderate, with variable conditions at the peaks.
The weather phenomenon, which includes the presence of haze at altitude, will extend across the rest of the islands with local variations. Gran Canaria is expected to see the highest maximums, reaching 37 degrees, while in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Tenerife, and La Gomera, values will reach 34 degrees.
