The Canary Islands Industrial Association has launched a strategic campaign to promote the consumption of local products and strengthen the business fabric across all islands.

The initiative, titled El punto que va contigo, aims to link the Elaborado en Canarias seal with consumer trust. This label is intended to become a direct reference when choosing items at points of sale, highlighting the importance of supporting the local economy over foreign options.
The project involves 165 brands that manufacture within the archipelago. The communication strategy, which will run over the next year, focuses on key sectors such as food, construction, and packaging, activities that collectively support more than 50,000 jobs in the islands.

"Every euro invested in consuming local products is a euro that impacts the lives of our neighbors."

The industrial organization has emphasized the need to move towards a self-sufficient ecosystem. The goal is for regional industry to gain weight and competitiveness, which would allow for the retention of qualified young talent who currently seek job opportunities outside the region.
