The Villa de Mazo City Council will allocate €95,673.30 to improve the calisthenics park in El Pueblo, an intervention scheduled for completion within three months.

The project includes the installation of new safety surfacing, consisting of artificial turf over an impact-absorbing layer to reduce fall impact and minimize injury risk, in compliance with standards EN 1176 and EN 1177.
Additionally, a unisex changing room with storage will be constructed, designed to be accessible for people with reduced mobility and equipped with necessary sanitary facilities, thereby completing the park's services.

"We want to complete the park's facilities and improve the conditions for practicing sports there. It's a well-used space, and we must ensure it adequately meets the needs of regular users."

Idafe Hernández · Mayor of Villa de Mazo

"The changing room adds a service and completes the park's offerings."

Luis Cabrera · Councilor for Works
These works are part of the Insular Program for Cooperation in Municipal Works and Services (PICOS) 2024-2028 of the Cabildo de La Palma. The deadline for submitting bids for the project execution is next September 9th.
