The concept behind ‘The Days We Left Behind’ stems from the paradox that a farewell can be the beginning of something new. This album, conceived as a conceptual work, traverses different emotional states using contemporary musical languages like nu jazz, soul, and afrobeat.
The official presentation will take place this Saturday the 26th, starting at 8:00 PM, at the Teatro Guiniguada. Tickets are available at the venue's box office or through its website.
The album establishes a dialogue between the past and the present, addressing themes such as memory, personal connections, and processes of change. It reflects on different life stages and the need for self-reconstruction after periods of emotional wear.
Accompanied by his band, Gold will perform the songs from this new work live and in their entirety, conceived as a narrative journey to be listened to from beginning to end. The repertoire includes singles such as ‘Dancing Gods’, ‘Neones’, and ‘Something’s Gonna Change’, as well as a selection of tracks from his previous works, reinterpreted from the album's new sonic identity.
Nauci Gold (born 1989) has developed a career linked to black music and experimentation with various contemporary genres. He has been recognized with the National Music and Pop Eye Arts Award for Best Black Music Artist and has performed in the Canary Islands, mainland Spain, and Mexico. His work has also been featured on RTVE programs like ‘Los conciertos de Radio 3’ and ‘Culturas 2’.
