The agreement enables beneficiaries to pursue Adult Primary Education (EIPA), Adult Secondary Education (ESPA), and Baccalaureate studies through the ecca.edu platform, leading to official qualifications that can improve their employment opportunities.
The mayor of Antigua, Juan Cabrera, emphasized the importance of this educational support within the municipality, expressing the Town Hall's intention to expand the agreement and increase the budget for future courses to reach more residents. Additionally, municipal facilities will be provided for in-person classes, eliminating the need for travel.
The Councilor for Education, Sebastiana Verde, highlighted that this initiative eases access to studies for adult residents. Radio Ecca utilizes a flexible distance learning methodology that combines remote study with in-person classes, allowing individuals to balance their education with other commitments.
The director of Radio Ecca in Fuerteventura, Carmen Nieves Hernández Díaz, announced that the agreement, which began in 2023, currently has an open enrollment period.
