The Antigua Town Hall, through its Employment Department, has signed a new educational agreement with Radio Ecca to continue vocational training for unemployed individuals in the municipality. The agreement seeks to facilitate the attainment of official primary and secondary education qualifications.
Mayor Juan Cabrera announced the offer of 20 scholarships for unemployed residents over 18 years old who are in a situation of economic vulnerability. These scholarships will enable them to pursue primary (EIPA) and secondary (ESPA and Baccalaureate) studies through Radio Ecca's platform, thereby improving their academic and professional prospects.
"The idea is to expand the agreement and the budget because this Government believes that all our residents should improve their studies, with more courses and investment in training," stated Juan Cabrera, emphasizing the municipal commitment to education.
For her part, Education Councilor Sebastiana Verde detailed that the Antigua Town Hall will provide its facilities for Radio Ecca teachers to conduct in-person classes. This measure aims to prevent unnecessary travel for residents to other municipalities.
Radio Ecca's methodology is based on a three-dimensional pedagogical system of distance and flexible learning, designed for adults who need to balance studies with work or family commitments.
