The festivities will begin on Monday, August 24, and will extend until September 8. The program, presented by the local government, includes a varied offer of sports activities, music, games, and fun, designed for the enjoyment of all residents and visitors.
The star concert of the festivities will be by the Argentine cumbia band Ráfaga, performing on Saturday, September 5, at 11:00 PM. This top-tier event was highlighted by the mayor of Antigua, Juan Cabrera, as a significant achievement within the program.
The Councilor for Festivities, Lucila Ruiz, emphasized the recovery of traditional events and the allocation of more space for young people. The opening speech, scheduled for August 28, will be delivered by parish priest Isidoro Sánchez López, who left a significant mark on the community.
The program also includes the traditional Brotherhood Meal, the pilgrimage, the offering to the Virgin, a tribute to Canarian wrestling, escala en-hifi, the rally, fireworks, and the diana floreada accompanied by the Agaete Band, in addition to the traditional ringing of bells.
