The Antigua City Council has recognized the work of the six students who participated this summer in the Practical Training Scholarship Program. The mayor, Juan Cabrera, and the Councilor for Local Development, Victoria Cerdeña, thanked the young people for their "effort and involvement" from their arrival on July 15th to August 31st.
This initiative, promoted by the Education Department of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, aims to bring young people into direct contact with the world of work and provide them with practical experience in their area of specialization.
“"They have been part of the City Council's work family this summer, they have shown great interest, a desire to learn, and have made the most of this work opportunity."
The student team has been distributed across different areas of the Council, including Sports, Municipal Library, Culture, New Technologies, and the Technical Office.
“"On behalf of the entire Governing Group, we want to thank them because they have been very responsible and committed youth to their municipality of Antigua, combining theoretical and practical training."
Juan Cabrera concluded by highlighting that these students represent "the quarry and the future of this municipality".
