Antigua Launches 'Juventigua' to Engage its Youth Until December
The municipal program offers leisure, sports, culture, digital tools, and community actions, encouraging active youth participation.

Young people participating in leisure, sports, culture, and technology activities within the municipal program 'Juventigua' in Antigua.
The Antigua City Council has presented the youth engagement program ‘Juventigua’, which will run from September to December under the slogan: Connect, participate, transform.
The municipal initiative, under the Department of Youth, aims to foster participation, networking among young people, and enjoyment of various activities. According to Mayor Juan Cabrera, weekly meetings will be held in both Antigua and Caleta de Fuste.
The Councilor for Youth, Sofía Alves, explained that the program has been launched in collaboration with the Amanay Association and is aimed at young people aged 12 to 30.
Alves encouraged young people to register via a QR code and highlighted the program's attractive thematic blocks: educational leisure, sports and games, culture and Majorera identity, creativity and networks, digital tools and AI, intercultural coexistence, and community actions.
