The municipality of Antigua is advancing in the comprehensive renovation of the Caleta Garden esplanade, which will become a new parking area, and in the improvement of the Orchilla pedestrian promenade.

The comprehensive renovation works of the Caleta Garden esplanade, formerly a deteriorated sports court, are progressing well in Caleta de Fuste. The space is being transformed into a parking lot that will become operational in the coming weeks, eliminating a problematic spot in the town, as reported by the mayor, Juan Cabrera.
The mayor explained that the court and surrounding areas have been completely demolished to create an open space for parking, located next to the businesses on the main street. Additionally, parking lines will be painted and new spotlights installed to improve lighting.
Furthermore, the renovation of the Orchilla pedestrian promenade is also underway, covering the section from Pablo Picaso street to the Montecastillo shopping center. This promenade, heavily used by residents and tourists, was in poor condition.
New paving stones are being laid to ensure the promenade is in perfect condition for pedestrians during the summer. Both projects are being financed entirely with the Antigua Council's own funds.
