The primary objective of this outsourcing is to serve a greater number of dependent individuals and provide additional services, such as afternoon care or meal preparation.
The Councilor for Social Services, Irene Ortega, explained that the decision responds to increased demand and the inability to meet needs with in-house staff. The measure seeks to guarantee the quality and continuity of this essential primary care service.
The new contract, which will be overseen by Social Services, aims to provide greater stability and enhance care for families and users requiring assistance. Currently, over 50 individuals are being served, and pending applications from the waiting list will be incorporated.
The Department of Social Services is coordinating with the awarded company to reorganize schedules and make adjustments, minimizing any inconvenience for users and their families. The staff who were previously providing the service have been retained.
The contract, which began on August 3rd, has an initial duration of two years, with an annual extension possible for two more years. The base tender budget amounts to 308,480.94 euros.
