The municipality of Teror has managed the removal of 36.5 tons of waste during the central days of the Fiesta del Pino, held between September 5 and 8. Intensive cleaning was carried out after the evening festivities, concerts, the offering pilgrimage, and the pilgrimage itself.
Solely during the early morning of September 7 to 8, more than 70 people worked to ensure that the center of Teror was clean at dawn, removing in particular plastics and cans.

"It has been very intense work, especially on the eve of the Pino, working against the clock so that the area around the Basilica was ready for the celebration events of the Day of the Pino."

Irene Ortega · Councilor for Cleaning of the Teror City Council
Since the end of August, the service was reinforced with a team of workers, additional containers, and specialized machinery such as sweepers, water tanks, and RSU (municipal solid waste) collection trucks, as well as a truck for cardboard and plastic collection and auxiliary trucks.
The municipal Cleaning Service also received collaboration from the City Councils of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Brígida to expand the deployment with containers and sweepers.
