The activity will take place in one of the island's privileged mountain settings. During the evening, participants will learn more about the night sky, how to recognize its main elements, and discuss recent astronomical phenomena such as eclipses, along with other curiosities.
The meeting point will be the Parking de Cruz de los Llanos, in Vega de San Mateo. Pre-registration through the website viveunescograncanaria.com is mandatory to attend.
Attendees are advised to bring a folding chair, something warm as temperatures can drop considerably at night in the mountains, and some snacks and water. It is important to always respect the environment and leave no trace. It is also recommended not to arrive with a nearly empty fuel tank, as movements to other locations might be necessary if weather conditions change.
