The event, organized by the Culture Department of the Teror City Council with the collaboration of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, aims to promote reading and culture. Alameda Pío XII will be transformed into a space dedicated to books, featuring the municipality's two bookstores, “Greda Canarias” and “Trébol +APP Teror”, along with a significant representation of authors and publishers.
Throughout the weekend, attendees can enjoy a diverse literary offering and purchase books directly at the plaza. Additionally, parallel activities designed for all audiences, including workshops, storytelling sessions, and musical performances, are scheduled to enhance the cultural atmosphere.
The official inauguration is set for Friday, October 2nd, at 4:30 PM, with a manifesto reading by the linguist and Teror-born writer Gonzalo Ortega. The event will remain open on Saturday and Sunday morning, providing a continuous program of activities.
The detailed program of events, which will include the presence of oral storytellers and writers alongside their works, will be announced in the coming days. This initiative, supported by the Culture Department of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, solidifies Teror's position as a literary hub on the island.
