The Patchwork fair in Vega de San Mateo celebrated its second day with a large turnout of visitors enjoying creativity, color, and various activities. The afternoon was marked by the awards ceremony for the Quilt and Dollmaking contests.
In the Quilt contest, Olga Méndez took home the first prize, followed by Fabiola de Mías in second place and Celeste Suárez with the third prize. For the Dollmaking contest, Ana María secured the first prize, while the Tienda Pisando Hilo and América Pérez received second and third place, respectively.
The event also featured a notable patchwork fashion show, showcasing original garments made with this technique. The jury, faced with the high quality and competitiveness of the contest, decided to award, in addition to the first prize to the Grupo Bat de Labores, two second prizes to Natalia y Fefi and the Grupo Otoño.
The fair was enlivened by a raffle of gift baskets and live music by Pedro Quintana, who brought rhythm and joy to an event that once again saw significant attendance.
