The Area of Social Action, Inclusion, Volunteering, and Citizen Participation of the Most Excellent Cabildo of Tenerife has granted a subsidy to the Buenavista del Norte City Council. This aid is part of the call for «Housing Social Emergency Subsidies for the Municipalities of Tenerife (2024)».
The main objective is to provide housing solutions for individuals who, after an assessment by the municipal social services, are in a situation of social exclusion or at risk of experiencing it, as well as those affected by circumstances outlined in the Ethos Scale (European Typology on Homelessness and Housing Exclusion).
Eligible expenses include rental housing, use cession, or other legally admitted forms of temporary occupation, as well as alternative accommodation costs and monthly mortgage payments.
Applications, which require an appointment, must be submitted along with the necessary documentation at the registry of the municipal social services in the town center, located at Avenida Daute nº 29 Bajo (Health Center). The public service hours are from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday. To request an appointment, call 922.12.90.30 (extension 1211).
Additionally, the decentralized Social Services office in El Palmar (Plaza El Palmar S/N) will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the same hours. To book an appointment at this office, call 922.12.90.30 (extensions 1211 or 1501).
The application submission period will be open from September 1, 2026, to August 13, 2027, inclusive.
The required documentation for the application includes a photocopy of the D.N.I. or identity document, family book or birth certificate if minors are involved, and proof of income for all household members (pension certificate, employment demand card, employment contract, last payslip, quarterly IRPF declaration, etc.). Proof of expenses such as rental agreements, receipts, bank statements, cadastral certification, and other documents like disability certificates or separation/divorce rulings will also be required.
