The National Police has submitted the first report to the competent court concerning the explosion of a fuel tank that occurred last Wednesday in the industrial estate of Salinetas, in Telde (Gran Canaria).

The police report details the initial circumstances of the blast that took place at a plant owned by the company Disa. According to sources from the Superior Police Headquarters of Canarias, one of the three individuals injured in the incident, which also resulted in a worker's death, remains hospitalized in a center in the capital of Gran Canaria.
Scientific Police have been working on-site to collect additional samples that will help clarify the exact causes of the incident. The explosion occurred while workers from a subcontracted company were carrying out maintenance tasks on the tanks.
Disa, the plant's owner, stated that it is fully cooperating with the authorities to determine the circumstances of the events with the utmost rigor.
