The council on El Hierro has detailed the implemented actions to support families during this period, including subsidies for the purchase of school supplies and textbooks, with a total allocation of up to 9,000 euros.
Financial aid varies by educational stage: between 60 and 120 euros for Early Childhood Education, 150 to 300 euros for Primary Education, and 250 to 500 euros for Secondary Education. Additionally, the 60,000 euros for scholarships for students studying outside of El Hierro are maintained.
Support for the educational community extends to the maintenance of Early Childhood and Primary centers, as well as subsidies for centers and Parent-Teacher Associations (AMPAs). The allocation for the IES Garoé and CEIP Valverde increases from 2,700 to 6,000 euros, while the funding for the Rural School Collective rises from 1,150 to 3,000 euros.
To facilitate family conciliation, the City Council will continue offering urban camps at CEIP Valverde and CEIP Mocanal during holiday periods. The late-arrival service and the camp for children aged 0 to 3 linked to the Infant School are also maintained.
