The vessel was detected by radar eight miles off the coast. Following the alert, emergency services proceeded to locate and escort the boat to the fishing port to ensure the safety of those on board.
According to the information provided, the occupants are men of sub-Saharan origin from countries including Senegal, Gambia, Guinea-Conakry, and Sierra Leone. They reported having started their journey six days ago from Dakar.
Upon arrival at La Restinga, the group received care from the emergency teams deployed at the site, including the Red Cross Immediate Response Team (ERIE), the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC), as well as officers from the Civil Guard and the National Police.
