The Councillor for Social Welfare of the Arrecife City Council, Maite Corujo, and the president of AFOL, Carmen Arrocha, presented the poster for the march, a family-friendly and participatory event that seeks to support the association's work in caring for people affected by cancer and their families.
The solidarity day will start and end at the Recinto Ferial of Arrecife. The gathering is scheduled for 9:15 AM, followed by the reading of a manifesto at 10:15 AM and the start of the walk at 10:30 AM.
It is a family-friendly route of less than five kilometers, designed for people of all ages to participate, with the aim of raising awareness and fostering solidarity.
Registration costs 10 euros, which includes a t-shirt and water. All proceeds will be donated to AFOL Lanzarote. Registrations can be made online at www.tripasioneventos.com or in person at the AFOL headquarters.
Maite Corujo encouraged citizens to participate, turning the streets of Arrecife into a space of support for those facing oncological processes. For her part, Carmen Arrocha highlighted that the initiative allows for enjoying a family morning, doing sports, and collaborating with an association that has been building hope for 25 years.
All information about the activity and registrations is available at www.afol.info.
