The gymnasium at CEIP Capellanía del Yágabo in Arrecife has been fully renovated after the completion of improvement works. The facilities, which were in an advanced state of disrepair, have been refurbished to restore adequate conditions for sports practice.
The Councilor for Education of the Ayuntamiento de Arrecife, Abigail González, and the Deputy Mayor and head of the Employment department, Echedey Eugenio, visited the center this morning to check the results of the intervention. The work involved removing the existing, deteriorated flooring and replacing it with new sports-specific surfacing. The intervention was completed with a full repaint of the gymnasium.
From now on, students at the center will have a more suitable space to carry out physical and sports activities in better conditions of safety and comfort.

Furthermore, cleaning and sanitation work is also being carried out in the various educational centers in the municipality, with special attention to prevention against possible rain episodes, to maintain school spaces in good condition and contribute to the safety of the facilities.
