The city of Arrecife welcomes this Monday the French-flagged expedition cruise ship Le Laperouse, a super-luxury boutique vessel carrying 180 American and French tourists who have paid from 8,500 euros for the circuit.

The Le Laperouse, inaugurated in 2018, features 92 cabins and suites, all with private balconies or terraces, and offers private butler service in some accommodations. Travelers have paid from approximately 8,500 euros for this circuit, which includes a stop in Arrecife.
Among its facilities is the Blue Eye Lounge, an immersive underwater observation area with large windows providing views of the subaquatic environment and allowing passengers to experience the sounds of the sea through hydrophone headsets.
The arrival of Le Laperouse in Arrecife, coinciding with the start of the autumn and winter season, reinforces the capital of Lanzarote's leadership for the premium tourism segment traveling on boutique cruises through the waters of the Canary Islands and the northwest coast of Africa.
By the end of November, Arrecife is scheduled to host 15 boutique cruise calls, including the Four Seasons I and the Regatta on November 6th. Le Laperouse will revisit the island on November 2nd, arriving from Agadir.
The Arrecife City Council, through its Department of Commerce and Tourism, has been implementing a strategy to position the port of Arrecife among shipping companies planning circuits in the North Atlantic and Canary Islands waters.
