Arrecife celebrates Canary Islands Day this weekend with a program of activities to be held at José Ramírez Cerdá Park and Plaza de Las Palmas.

The Canary Islands Day festivities in Arrecife will be spread between José Ramírez Cerdá Park, from Friday to Sunday, and Plaza de Las Palmas, which will host events on Saturday. The use of a tent near the Cabildo was initially considered but has now been discarded.
The division of venues is explained by the fact that part of the program is supported by the council departments managed by the Partido Popular (PP), while other areas are the responsibility of Coalición Canaria (CC).
At José Ramírez Cerdá Park, traditional music groups (parrandas) are expected, along with workshops and gastronomic experiences. The evening program includes performances by artists such as Benito Cabrera, José Manuel Ramos, and Los Campesinos. On Sunday afternoon, Los Sabandeños will close the event.
Meanwhile, at Plaza de Las Palmas, next to the San Ginés church, popular millo soup will be served along with diverse music from morning until midnight on Saturday. Performers will include Latín Dúo, Los Coquillos, and Kódigo 4, among others.
