A traffic accident registered in Arrecife this Saturday afternoon resulted in a vehicle invading the sidewalk and crashing into the corner of a building.

The incident occurred on Mina street and involved personnel from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium. Upon arrival, firefighters were informed by the Local Police that the occupant of the vehicle had already exited and was in good condition.
The car, after deviating from its path, ended up on the sidewalk and impacted the corner of a property. The vehicle's final position necessitated the intervention of emergency services for its removal and to ensure area safety.
Once authorized by the Local Police, firefighters used a winch to move the car. During the operation, oil residue was also found on the road, which was covered with sepiolite to prevent future incidents.
Hours earlier, at 3:28 PM, firefighters also responded to Greco street in the Parque Central area due to a gas odor from a cylinder storage area. A leak was detected in one of the sheds due to a deteriorated hose. Personnel disconnected the cylinders and closed the main valve, bringing the situation under control.
