A total of 160 units have been deployed, ten of which are specifically reserved for people with reduced mobility. Additionally, an accessible solarium platform providing shade has been installed for free public use.
The service includes assistance for individuals with reduced mobility, who can request the use of amphibious chairs from the lifeguard and surveillance staff to facilitate access to the water.
The management of these facilities, processed by the Arrecife City Council through the Coastal Authority, has been awarded to a company that will operate the service until December 31, 2029.
This reopening coincides with the start of the cruise ship season in the capital, with approximately one hundred cruise calls expected before the end of the year. The beach's location, near Fred Olsen Avenue, provides easy access for visitors and residents frequenting the area.
