In the Naos area, the existing pavement has significantly deteriorated, and associated facilities have become obsolete. The technical project aims to enhance the functionality, safety, and operational capacity of the quay, particularly for the capital's fishing fleet. Deteriorated port elements, such as bollards and cleats, will be renewed and replaced, along with the implementation of safety and durability measures.
Proposals for Naos must be submitted by October 14th, with a maximum execution period of ten months, anticipating that the improved infrastructure will be ready by the end of next year. The work will focus on the area between the quay's edge and the facade line.
Meanwhile, for Los Mármoles, the deadline for submitting bids is October 15th. This initiative will primarily focus on improving the secondary access roads used for loading and unloading goods, located opposite the Castillo de San José.
The project at the main quay in Arrecife includes renewing the asphalt and making improvements to the existing sidewalks, due to the pavement's wear from continuous vehicle circulation, especially heavy vehicles. Manhole covers will be replaced, and existing inspection chambers will be raised.
It is estimated that the intervention in Los Mármoles will require five months, potentially allowing for completion during the summer months of the following year, provided no complications arise.
