The San Bartolomé City Council is organizing the gastronomic and cultural revitalization event 'San Bartolomé Suena y Sabe' on April 18 at the Playa Honda urban park, combining gastronomy, music, and crafts.

This initiative, supported by the Cabildo through its Economic Promotion department, will take place from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Its main goal is to highlight the municipal gastronomy and local products such as sweet potatoes, wine, cheese, and gofio, which are considered key elements of the local identity.
Among the featured proposals, the event will include the Playa Honda Market, promoted by the Crafts department led by councilwoman Ana Lopes. This space will serve as a platform for the exhibition and sale of artisanal and local products, aiming to boost the sector and bring it closer to the public.
Additionally, the day will feature a showcooking by renowned chef Samantha Vallejo-Nágera, a prominent figure in national gastronomy, who will offer a culinary demonstration focused on the importance of local produce.

"With initiatives like 'San Bartolomé Suena y Sabe', we continue to strengthen our economic and social fabric, supporting our local merchants and producers, and creating meeting spaces that revitalize the municipality."

Isidro Pérez · Mayor of San Bartolomé

"We want this day to be an opportunity to showcase the quality and talent of our commercial and gastronomic sector, promoting the consumption of local products and reinforcing our identity through tradition and culture."

Alma González · Councilwoman for Commerce
Throughout the day, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy a festive atmosphere with live musical performances, family workshops, tastings, gastronomic exhibitions, and various cultural proposals, solidifying this event as a space for coexistence and family enjoyment.
