The San Bartolomé City Council is advancing a project to build new changing rooms at the Playa Honda Football Field, with an investment of 488,466.26 euros.

The San Bartolomé City Council has taken another step forward in its project to construct new changing rooms for the Playa Honda Football Field. This initiative aims to improve the facility's usability and meet the needs of the clubs, athletes, and teams that use it.
The basic and execution project, with a tender budget of 488,466.26 euros, includes a new building of 163.75 square meters in the northeast area of the complex. The estimated execution period is 16 weeks.

"This action responds to a need we have been identifying in a reference sports facility for Playa Honda and the entire municipality. We want our clubs and athletes to have adequate, modern, and functional spaces, in line with the growth and activity of the Football Field."

Isidro Pérez · Mayor of San Bartolomé
Mayor Isidro Pérez highlighted that the investment in sports infrastructure will lead to better services and conditions for sports practice, modernizing municipal facilities.
The new building will house two changing rooms for football 11 (each between 30 and 40 square meters), a changing room for referees, a cooling and recovery room with a contrast pool, and a multipurpose room for meetings and other uses.

"This is a project designed from a functional perspective, considering the real needs of those who use this facility, and it incorporates quality, accessibility, and efficiency criteria."

Marlene Romero · Urban Planning Councilor
The Sports Councilor, Alexis Hernández, emphasized that improving sports facilities is a priority to offer better conditions for the teams and families using the municipal spaces.
The project also includes the installation of a photovoltaic system and solar thermal and hot water systems. The material execution budget amounts to 383,622.28 euros.
The intervention will take place on a sports plot of approximately 25,000 square meters, on Calle Pared del Canto. The new construction will be integrated without needing to divert existing water, electricity, or sanitation networks.
This action is part of the municipal commitment to continue improving the municipality's sports infrastructure and ensure these facilities can meet the increased sports activity and the needs of the entities that use them.

"Investing in sports is investing in people and the quality of life in our municipality. We want Playa Honda to have facilities befitting the sports activity it hosts, and this project is a testament to that commitment."
