The Department of Transport of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura has established a new bus stop in the El Cuchillete industrial estate, located in Tuineje, which will begin operating on May 28th.

This new stop, a historical demand from workers and users, will benefit lines 1, 9, and 16 of the regular interurban passenger transport service. Lines 1 (Morro Jable-Puerto del Rosario via Gran Tarajal), 16 (Gran Tarajal-Puerto del Rosario), and 9 (Pájara-Morro Jable via Gran Tarajal) will make stops in both directions.
The initiative responds to requests from the Tuineje City Council, as well as businesses and workers in the southern part of Fuerteventura, who had been advocating for this improvement in connectivity.

"This improvement represents 'a historic milestone within the planning to enhance the island's transport system. As part of this strategy, nearly half of the vehicle fleet has already been renewed, electric buses have been incorporated, and locations are continuously being promoted to bring public transport closer to more points in Fuerteventura.'"

The bus stop has been made possible following improvement works carried out in the area by the Roads Department of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, thus reinforcing the commitment to optimizing public transport on the island.
