The Fuerteventura Island Council has registered a total of 275 applications for generic sports-related subsidies, designated for the years 2026 and 2027. The overall funding for these grants amounts to 6,023,927.24 euros.
Individuals and entities needing to complete or correct their documentation will have an additional period to do so. The correction period will be open from August 14th to August 27th, inclusive. During this time, applicants must submit the required documents for their application to proceed. Failure to submit within the stipulated timeframe will be considered a withdrawal of the application.
Documentation can be submitted at the General Registry of the Fuerteventura Island Council, at the Corporation's Citizen Attention offices, or through any other established administrative channel.
The call is aimed at a wide range of sports stakeholders in Fuerteventura, including town councils, associations, sports entities and federations, individual athletes, sports event organizers, special attention entities for team sports, and high-level or performance athletes. Non-sporting associations and professionals in social, health, and sports fields operating in Fuerteventura are also eligible.
Existing support lines for sports promotion, facilities, and material acquisition are maintained. As a new feature, two new lines have been added for the purchase of electronic equipment and media, as well as for conducting studies and technical work.
This initiative aligns with the island's sports strategy eSPORTura25-35, which aims to enhance support mechanisms for sports and promote healthy, inclusive, and accessible sports practice for all Fuerteventura residents.
