The initiative, funded by the Canary Islands Development Fund (FDCAN), aims to reduce the intergenerational digital divide and offer healthy leisure alternatives. The event will take place in equipped, traveling tent areas in El Cotillo (August 14-15) during the Festivities in Honor of Our Lady of the Good Voyage; in Gran Tarajal (August 18-19) as part of Youth Week; and in Morro Jable (August 20-22) during the Playa de la Cebada Cultural Week.
The ‘Fuerteventura: Familiar Gaming Challenge!’ will feature latest-generation consoles for cooperative family play, virtual reality (VR) experiences, arcade game areas, and simulation setups. All programmed video games are certified PEGI as suitable for minors.
In addition to the fun aspect, the project includes a dedicated space for family guidance. Specialists will offer personalized advice to parents and guardians on key issues such as parental mediation, cybersecurity, screen time management, and prevention of digital addiction, providing practical tools for accompanying minors in technology use.

The activities will be supported by qualified technology monitors and facilitators, ensuring all venues are 100% accessible for people with reduced mobility (PMR) and safe for all audiences.
