The coasts of Fuerteventura have received international recognition, with two of its beaches ranking among the top ten in Europe according to a Holidu study.

An exhaustive analysis of thousands of Google Maps reviews, conducted by the vacation rental platform Holidu, has underscored the quality of the Canary Islands' beaches. Three locations in Fuerteventura were placed in the national Top 5, with two of them making it into the European Top 10 for summer 2026.
The island is praised for its pristine landscapes, extensive sandy shores, and ideal conditions for both relaxation and water sports. While Platja de Muro in the Balearic Islands leads the Spanish list, Fuerteventura's beaches secure prominent positions.
Cofete Beach ranks as the second-best in Spain, boasting a score of 4.8 out of 5 and over 5,300 reviews. This wild corner within the Jandía Natural Park captivates with its untamed nature, imposing dunes, and cinematic atmosphere, maintaining its pristine character due to its challenging access.
Following closely is Sotavento de Jandía Beach, also rated 4.8, renowned for the spectacular lagoons formed at low tide and its status as a European mecca for windsurfing and kitesurfing. The Grandes Playas de Corralejo complete the national Top 5, noted for their kilometer-long clear sand dunes contrasting with turquoise waters and offering impressive views towards the islet of Lobos and Lanzarote.
The continental recognition is equally significant. Cofete Beach climbs to sixth place in the European ranking, surpassing iconic destinations in Greece and Portugal. Meanwhile, Sotavento de Jandía Beach solidifies its international influence by securing ninth position in the European Top 10, placing the Canary Islands firmly on the map for the best global coastal experiences for upcoming summer holidays.
