The Fuerteventura Health Area has successfully concluded a pilot emotional well-being program in Puerto del Rosario, preparing for its progressive rollout across the island's Primary Care network.

The project, which began last January, has finished after completing a cycle of ten group sessions. In this initial phase, a total of 20 patients referred from psychology consultations participated in dynamics aimed at improving emotional management and coping with daily challenges.
The initiative, promoted by the Primary Care management, seeks to strengthen mutual support and shared learning among users. During the workshops, attendees worked on practical self-care and emotional regulation tools, complementing the individualized clinical follow-up they already receive at their health centers.
The closing ceremony was attended by officials from the Medical Directorate, the Nursing Directorate, and representatives from the Puerto del Rosario Basic Health Zone. Participants highlighted during the meeting how these strategies have helped increase their personal security and well-being in their daily lives.
Following the positive results of this trial, the Canarian Health Service has confirmed that the program will be progressively extended to the rest of the island's basic health zones, consolidating a more comprehensive and coordinated community care model.
