The Fuerteventura Film Commission concluded this week the course ‘Sound in Audiovisual Projects’, a training initiative that brought together more than twenty participants interested in the sector.

The training, held from September 28th to October 2nd, offered a theoretical and practical overview of the importance of sound in film and television production. Key concepts, technical equipment, and their application in real shooting situations were covered.
The course was led by José Luis Valdivia, a renowned photojournalist, filmmaker, and educator with international experience, who is also the founder of the production company IKAPIA revista/filma.
Nereida Calero, counselor for the Fuerteventura Film Commission, emphasized the importance of these training programs for the development of the audiovisual sector on the island, enabling professionals to acquire specialized knowledge.
Calero highlighted that collaborating with experienced professionals like Valdivia brings training tailored to the real needs of audiovisual production to Fuerteventura.
This program is part of a broader initiative by the Fuerteventura Film Commission to enhance the training and specialization of professionals and aspiring individuals in the audiovisual sector, covering various technical and artistic profiles.
The training schedule will continue in the coming months with courses on ‘Cinematographic Lighting’ (October 26-30, with Óscar González), ‘Professional Makeup Applied to Audiovisual Media’ (November 9-13, with Francis Bodí), ‘Photography applied to Film and Television’ (November 16-20, with Cecilia Bayonas), and ‘Wig Making’ (November 30-December 4, with Paco Rodríguez).
