The incident took place on Sunday afternoon when the 4x4 vehicle driven by the individual lost control. The car ended up resting against a concrete wall located in front of the square of the Guisguey church.
After receiving an alert from the Canary Islands Government Emergency Coordination Center, officers arrived at the scene. During the intervention, they performed a breathalyzer test on the driver, which yielded a result of 1.13 milligrams of alcohol per liter of exhaled air.
This figure is more than four times the legal limit of 0.25 mg/l. Consequently, the municipal police have filed the corresponding proceedings with the Duty Court for an alleged crime against road safety.
