The projects, carried out through the Department of Education, included various structural repairs and facility upgrades to ensure the proper start of the 2026/2027 academic year.
At CEIP Bernabé Figueroa, carpentry repairs and playground flooring renovations were completed. Meanwhile, CEIP Maria Castrillo received new wooden wall coverings in infant classrooms, along with the installation of pergolas and shade trees. Other notable works include the replacement of plumbing and fixtures at Antoñito El Farero and Parque Natural schools.
Safety and accessibility were also prioritized. At CEIP Villaverde, the pavilion roof was enclosed and a new entrance for infant students was created, similar to improvements made at CEIP La Oliva. Additionally, garden maintenance and furniture replacements were carried out at CEIP Los Lajares.
Local authorities have confirmed that further actions are planned for the coming weeks. Upcoming projects include the construction of a sports equipment storage area, patio roofing, a new 'bola canaria' court, and an electrical power upgrade at CEIP Tindaya to enable the opening of the school canteen.
