Minor in serious condition after drowning incident in Fuerteventura pool

A one-year-old minor is in serious condition after being rescued unconscious from a swimming pool at an apartment complex in La Oliva, Fuerteventura, showing signs of drowning.

The Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 112 received an alert around 9:50 AM reporting the incident. Upon arrival, first responders found the minor in cardiorespiratory arrest and began resuscitation efforts.
Personnel from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) and the local health center continued advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers, successfully restoring the child's pulse. Once stabilized, the minor was airlifted by a SUC medical helicopter to the Gran Canaria University Hospital Materno Infantil.
Firefighters assisted by securing the landing and takeoff of the helicopter on a nearby football field. Police resources, activated by the Coordination Center, collaborated with other emergency services and conducted the relevant inquiries.
