The Fuerteventura Island Council has announced the launch of a special night bus service for La Carpa 2026, an event held as part of the World Windsurfing and Wingfoiling Championship at La Barca beach.

This special public transport service will operate during the early mornings of July 18, 19, 25, and 26, as well as August 1 and 2. Departures will be between 03:00 and 06:00 hours from a provisional stop located in front of the Hotel Paradisus by Meliá, in the Gorriones area.
The service will be divided into two routes. Line 1 will connect with Costa Calma, La Lajita, Tarajalejo, and Gran Tarajal. Meanwhile, Line 5 will provide service to the urban center of Morro Jable and the Bus Station.
Luis González, the Transport Councilor, highlighted the importance of this initiative: «For the first time, the Pájara City Council has requested special services from us, and for this reason, we have launched a device of this nature for this event, promoting public transport that facilitates travel, improves road safety, and allows attendees to enjoy the event with greater comfort and peace of mind».
Passengers can use their transport pass or pay the fare in cash. Payment by bank card will not be accepted. Furthermore, for safety reasons, bringing food or drinks onto the buses will not be permitted, nor will the use of luggage compartments.
Through this initiative, the Fuerteventura Island Council aims to strengthen public transport during one of the summer's most attended events, promoting more efficient and safe mobility for attendees of La Carpa 2026.
