The group will take the stage at the La Carpa 2026 festival, promising to play all their number-one hits. The announcement was made by Marlon Jackson, one of the founding brothers, in a video message to the Canary Islands audience.
This event, organized by DN7 Music, is part of a larger festival running from July 16th to August 2nd, featuring concerts and DJ sets. Tickets will be available at tureservaonline.es.
David Navarro, head of DN7, described bringing The Jacksons to Fuerteventura as a milestone for La Carpa and the Canary Islands, emphasizing the festival's commitment to positioning the island as a premier destination for live music. The festival is supported by institutions including the Pájara City Council, Playas de Jandía, the Fuerteventura Island Council, and the Government of the Canary Islands.
The Jacksons, originally known as The Jackson 5, emerged in the late sixties and became a global phenomenon. Their musical legacy, blending soul, funk, pop, and disco, earned them a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band continues to perform following the passing of Tito Jackson in September 2024.
The Fuerteventura performance comes more than seven years after their only previous concert in the archipelago, which took place on December 21, 2018, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
