The new edition of the Canarias Manga Festival will take place in Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura, from October 23rd to 25th. The event, presented by the Cabildo of Fuerteventura and the Puerto del Rosario City Council, is aimed at fans of manga, anime, video games, K-pop, and Japanese culture.
This year's lineup highlights the presence of Santiago Segura and Florentino Fernández, who will be joined by a wide range of artists, content creators, and entertainment professionals. Among the guests are also Mikecrack, Invictor, Timba VK, Mondongo, Jay Kim, Luis Posada, Masterchen F, as well as other illustrators, mangakas, and singers linked to the world of manga and Asian culture.
The festival will offer a varied program for all audiences, including cosplay and K-pop contests, a gaming zone with video game tournaments, meet-and-greets with guests, spaces for artists and illustrators, workshops, and various activities related to Japanese culture. The organization aims for the event to be a meeting point for creativity and the manga, anime, and video game communities.
Carmen Alonso, Minister of New Technologies, emphasized the commitment to a festival that connects with the interests of young people, highlighting that culture is also expressed through animation, dubbing, illustration, music, and digital creation, offering young people a leading role.
Jenifer Pérez, Councilor for Youth of Puerto del Rosario, thanked the Cabildo for their collaboration in holding an event that benefits not only the municipality's youth but the entire island.
Sergio Falcón, representing Zukoabega Producciones, highlighted the effort invested in bringing an event of this magnitude to the island's capital, with programming for all ages.
The program will unfold over the three days of the festival and will include areas dedicated to cosplay, K-pop contests, video games and tournaments, as well as an area for artists and creators. As a new feature, a digital passport will be introduced for attendees to participate in activities and unlock rewards.
The Canarias Manga Festival reaffirms its commitment to bringing Japanese culture and contemporary entertainment to Fuerteventura, creating a meeting space for fans, families, young people, artists, and creators.
