The Arena Negra Festival is once again holding its daytime program, Arena Negra de Día, on Saturday, November 7th in Gran Tarajal. This event will bring together five musical acts that will blend Latin rhythms, tropical sounds, and Canarian roots music, complementing the festival's nighttime program held on November 6th and 7th at Gran Tarajal beach with artists such as Juan Magán, Rosana, Luis Fonsi, Delaossa, and Los Secretos.
The daytime lineup emphasizes stylistic diversity and the presence of artists connected to the Canary Islands. Andrea Rodríguez y la Banda del Trópico will present their show ‘Songo & Pambiche’, a musical bridge between the Canary Islands and the Caribbean. Kilombo Improvisado, a band formed in the Canary Islands in 2019, will offer a festive proposal with Latin rhythms and original songs.
NIA, winner of the eleventh edition of ‘Operación Triunfo’, will contribute her experience in tropical music and salsa. ContraVentura, led by timple player David Rodríguez Santana, will fuse the timple and contra majorera with jazz, funk, and rock. Lastly, Timbeque, a musical group from southern Fuerteventura, will highlight Canarian and popular music, incorporating instruments like the Venezuelan cuatro and the Cuban tres.
Since its inception in 2018, the Arena Negra Festival has established itself as a significant autumn music event in Fuerteventura. Organized by the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, with the collaboration of the Government of the Canary Islands and the Tuineje City Council, the festival aims to revitalize the municipality and promote the island as a cultural destination.
