Anfi Sports Academy is hosting a swimming campus that brings together more than thirty athletes from different nationalities in Gran Canaria. The initiative, organized by Opo Swim, aims to enhance participants' performance in both pool and open water swimming.
Led by Guillermo Ramírez, the program includes technical swimming sessions at the semi-Olympic pool of Anfi Tauro, focusing on stroke efficiency, body position, breathing, and endurance. Strength training outside the water is also part of the curriculum.
A key feature of the campus is the training conducted in the open water channel at Anfi del Mar. This environment allows swimmers to practice in conditions similar to actual competitions, improving skills such as orientation, wave adaptation, and open water effort management.
The event caters to both amateur swimmers looking to refine their technique and experienced athletes involved in open water swimming and competitions. The presence of international participants fosters a valuable sporting and cultural exchange.
The organizers emphasize that Gran Canaria's year-round favorable climate, coupled with the quality of its facilities and the natural environment of Mogán, make the island an ideal destination for such sports gatherings.
