The Candelaria City Council, together with the CD Tenerife Foundation, has coordinated the municipality's participation in the fourth edition of the educational and social program ‘CD Tenerife: Seña de Identidad’, aimed at Primary school students.

The mayor of Candelaria, Mari Brito, accompanied by councilors Manuel González and Francisco Pinto, received representatives from the CD Tenerife Foundation to finalize the municipality's adherence to this initiative. The fourth edition of the program will focus on Candelaria's schoolchildren, aiming to bring them closer to the club's universe.
Primary school students participating in the project will take guided tours of the Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium and the Javier Pérez Tenerife Sports City. During these visits, they will receive talks on healthy lifestyle habits, nutrition, inclusion, and sustainability. The experience will be complemented by attending official first-team matches and a closing festival at the end of the school year.
The initiative aims to foster the 'blanquiazul' spirit among the island's youth. Mayor Mari Brito highlighted that Candelaria's involvement reinforces the municipal commitment to grassroots sports, a fundamental pillar of the Municipal Sports Schools. In these schools, children from the municipality train each season in disciplines such as Canarian wrestling, among others, growing with sports values like camaraderie, inclusion, and health care, values also defended by the foundation's program.
